Chance The Hero Does it Again Donating $1 Million to the Chicago Public Schools Foundation

Hip-Hop/Rap

Chance The Hero does it again! This man is a 23-year-old independent artist; he is not signed to a major label and has never sold any of his music for a profit. Chance The Rapper acquires most of his earnings via touring and merchandise through the support of his incredibly active and loyal fanbase.

What makes this generous donation all the more astonishingly benevolent is that various sources estimate the rapper’s net worth at just around $1 million as of 2016. While that number is surely somewhat of a low-ball estimate, it doesn’t change the message of the deed. This human being cares so much about his community that he is willing to donate what is perhaps nearly a majority of his net worth to that very community.

Chance also recently launched a Non-profit Organization called Social Works in the city of Chicago.  According to the organization’s mission statement, “SocialWorks aims to empower youth through the arts, education, and civic engagement while fostering leadership, accessibility, and positivity within the youth throughout Chicago.”

Ever since the Chicago emcee had even a little bit of clout around his name, he’s made it his top priority to give back to the city that raised him. Chancelor Bennett is not only a phenomenal artist, he’s a phenomenal human being and role model in a city that needs one now more than ever. Chance is a Chi-town HERO!
