Danny Brown is Kicking Off His ‘Atrocity Exhibition’ Tour in Philly on 9/14

Concert Preview, Hip-Hop/Rap

Rappers, even artists in general, like Danny Brown are few and far between. A few weeks back, we spoke about how influential his bizarre style and flow is to the current state of hip-hop, and how his new track, “Pneumonia”, is pressing the boundaries of all musicians in the industry.

Brown has received critical mass critical acclaim for his previous two records, and now his forthcoming release of Atrocity Exhibition has drawn the attention of tastemakers from Beats 1, Pitchfork, and Rolling Stone. Basically, this album is going to be bonkers.

With a fusion of aggressive hip-hop beats and choppy electronic samples, producers like Evian Christ are laying down the groundwork for Danny Brown to spit his way to a monumental breakthrough. And what would an album in this generation be without a tour? And what would a tour be without a kick-off in one of the rowdiest cities in America? That’s why on September 14, Theatre of Living Arts welcomes Danny Brown for his first show on a 40+ show North American tour.

…and that video was all the way from two years ago, so you can bet that the 800 person TLA will be jam packed with the whackiest fans hollering the lyrics to tracks like “Dip”, “When It Rain”, and of course his Purity Ring collaboration of “Grown Up”.

Get your tickets to Danny Brown in Philly now because they’ll undoubtedly sell out soon. We’ll see you on September 14.
