The indie folk band Daughter has come all the way from England to tour America and they are playing Union Transfer THIS THURSDAY. The band is known for its slower ballad songs that pull all sorts of emotion out of you. They emphasize their use of piano and rich acoustic guitar playing, and right now they are touring in support of their latest album Not To Disappear that they released this past January. They will be playing all the new stuff, as well as favorites such as “Youth” and “Smother” off their first album If You Leave.
Supporting them on this tour is the new up and coming artist Wilsen. This is a very appropriate choice for an opening act for Daughter. They both share a very slow and sultry vibe. Wilsen pulls you in more of the sultry and can entrance you with her hauntingly beautiful voice. If you need proof just check out her latest single “Centipede” that she released in February. We can only hope she will play our personal favorite and the popular song, “Garden,” a single she released in 2015.
If you need to take a break from all the bull sh*t of life and have a chill night, buy a ticket, buy a beer, and listen to some of the chillest music out there.
