Marc E. Bassy – “Dirt On You”


It’s been quite the year for Bay Area singer, songwriter, Marc E. Bassy.  He kicked off 2015 with the release of his East Hollywood EP, which helped garnish recognition from The Roots’ Questlove, and secure a personal invite and appearance at the 2015 Roots Picnic.  We had the opportunity to link up with Bassy at the Roots Picnic, to talk about his upcoming releases, musical influences and the journey music has brought him on, which you can read here.

Following his performance at the Roots Picnic, Bassy gained recognition from Kendrick Lamar and dropped some of the biggest collaborations of his career.  The first came with another Bay Area star, G-Eazy; “Friend Zone” followed by “That’s Love” a huge single with Ty Dolla $ign.  Bassy then appeared on G-Eazy’s latest album, When It’s Dark Out, as arguably the stand out feature on the album, on the track “Some Kind Of Drug.”

But today Marc releases a solo track titled “Dirt On You” an R&B cut which will be featured on his new project, From East Hollywood, which will be available this Friday, December 18th. Below stream the new track and get familiar with Marc E.
